Off the clock

Away from work I read comics, play basketball, swim, build LEGO and collect books. The comics take up the most room, so they get most of this page.

The comic shelf

56 books on the shelf: 35 from DC, 20 from Marvel. I read runs in order, so most of my notes are about what comes next.

Pick a book to pull it off the shelf and read my note on it.

Drag the book to turn it.

Each spine takes its colour from the book’s real cover, and picking a book wraps that cover round it. Height follows the format, and thickness follows the page count where I have it. The list comes straight from my collection catalogue: a short Python script turns its export into the data for this page, so the shelf stays current. Right now that’s 2 on order and 25 on the wishlist.

LEGO

6 sets built and 5 still waiting. Pick one of the 3D sets and watch it build itself, piece by piece.

The James Bond Aston Martin DB5 builds itself here, brick by brick, in the order of its real instructions.

Everything else

  • Basketball

I play, and I follow the NBA and WNBA closely enough that both ended up in Matchday ML.

  • Football

The Premier League, La Liga and the Champions League. They’re in Matchday ML too.

  • Swimming

The one sport here with no screen anywhere nearby.

  • Books

Comics aren’t the only thing I collect. The bookshelf is filling up as well.
